After a long and remarkable career, Greg Nelson has decided that after 35  years of service and effective August 31, 2024, he will be retiring from Olsen Thielen.

Greg joined Olsen Thielen right out of college as a staff accountant. Over the years, his dedication, hard work, and exceptional skills helped him to grow into one of the firm’s most respected leaders. As a shareholder and past roles of acting Chairman of the Firm, and the head of the Tax Department, Greg played an integral role in shaping Olsen Thielen’s success and future direction.

A well-rounded tax expert with a particular specialization in real estate tax, Greg has always been a go-to resource for both clients and colleagues alike. His ability to navigate complex tax issues with precision and insight has made him an invaluable asset to Olsen Thielen.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Greg is known for his warm demeanor and unwavering support of his colleagues. He has been a mentor to many, fostering growth and encouraging excellence across the department.

As Greg steps into retirement, he looks forward to spending more time with his family and enjoying his time in Arizona. While we will greatly miss his leadership and friendship, we are excited for him as he embarks on this new chapter.

We thank Greg for his leadership and wish him all the best in his retirement.
