Beth Tollefson is the CFO and fourth generation owner at KMTelecom in Kasson, Minnesota. She has worked with Olsen Thielen & Co., Ltd. as long as she can remember. “My Grandfather started working with Olsen Thielen before they were Olsen Thielen,” stated Tollefson, who has worked at KMTelecom for 26 years. As experts in the Telecommunications industry, Olsen Thielen has provided accounting and tax services, as well as a broad range of regulatory and other consulting services over those years. When she learned that her current CABS billing vendor was suddenly closing its doors, she was faced with the challenge of finding a new software vendor quickly. She knew she needed assistance, so she turned again to Olsen Thielen.
She worked with Gwen Schaffer, who recently came to Olsen Thielen with 19 years of experience in the Telecom Industry, and expertise in software and billing systems. Gwen’s knowledge in the industry enabled her to quickly assess Beth’s needs and deadlines. Her connections with billing vendors helped identify the right software companies to consider and to arrange the demos to accommodate KMTelecom’s schedule.
Throughout the process Olsen Thielen helped ensure that the right questions were asked, identified pros and cons of each vendor, and called attention to details in the demo that would affect usability. Schaffer also provided a recap after each demo to compare and contrast each vendor’s functionality.

KMTelecom has selected NISC to be their new CABS billing vendor and are scheduled to run their first CABS bills before their original deadline.
